Follow-Up Conferences — Paris 2009

The Berlin Conference of 2009 entitled "Berlin 7 - Reaching Diverse Communities will take place at the Université de la Sorbonne in Paris, France, on December 2-4, 2009.

The practice of Open Access compatible publishing is constantly on the rise. This growth is fueled by many factors, e.g.:

  • the spread of knowledge about Open Access in the scholarly communities,
  • the technical advancement of repositories,
  • the establishment of Open Access policies by research performing and funding institutions,
  • the development of an Open Access oriented publisher community.

The advancement of Open Access is closely connected with the ability to line out varying policies which fit the needs of diverse communities while contributing to the common goal. By this token this conference is supposed to showcase the approach to Open Access by diverse stakeholders.

Please refer to the conference website for further details on the program and organizational information.
