Are you a member of the Max Planck Society, has the topic of Open Access aroused your interest, and would you like to receive regular information on the subject or even get personally involved? If so, take a look at the MPS Open Access Network for more information. Under that menu item you will find a list of contact persons for Open Access at the Max Planck Institutes.

Open Access is being implemented within the Max-Planck-Society through a great many internal and external projects at the individual Max-Planck-Institutes, the Max Planck Digital Library and in collaboration with national and international partners. Numerous internal projects are being conducted by Max Planck Institutes in cooperation with the Max Planck Digital Library.

A good example of the cooperation within the Max Planck Society is the internal collaboration that has been ongoing for many years on the eSciDoc project, which incorporates numerous scientific projects with strong Open Access components. The objective of eSciDoc is to establish a reusable infrastructure and end-user applications for scientific communication and publication. One of these components is the PubMan repository software. Development objectives are identified and prioritised in close collaboration between the team of developers at the Max Planck Digital Library and a pilot group of Max Planck Institutes.

Please take a look at the ongoing projects and completed projects for an overview of projects related to Open Access at the Max Planck Society.
