Abruzzen und Molise (”living book”)

Nach dem Erdbeben in den Abruzzen vom 6. April 2009 war klar, daß das Standardwerk von Lehmann-Brockhaus in der aktuellen Situation noch an Gewicht gewinnen und häufig konsultiert werden wird. [...] Aus diesem Grund wurde in der Bibliotheca Hertziana sofort nach dem Erdbeben mit der Digitalisierung des Standardwerkes begonnen [...] [als] einer elektronischen Neuausgabe, die es ermöglicht, den 1983 publizierten Text im Web 2.0 mit weiteren Bildern auszustatten, mit aktuellen Bibliographien zu versehen und mit neuesten Informationen zu den Monumenten in den Abruzzen zu verbinden. DARIAH (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities)

The FACES software enables to maintain collections of pictures which are usually enriched by attributes or metadata.
